(1)revenge 报复，报仇

"Do not think of revenge, or anything of the sort, at present."现在不要想报仇之类的事。

Really the story is one of revenge. 这个故事其实是关于复仇的。

(2)sort 种类，方式，品质

He is a good sort.他是个好样儿的 。

(3)over the course of 在……的过程中Over the course of the months， I slowly started feelingbetter about myself and my life.在这几个月的过程中，我渐渐地感觉到我和我的生活开始变得更好。
