With the upcoming May Day holiday, the Guangzhou Metro is getting ready for an expected surge in passenger numbers. According to Guangzhou Metro, the network is anticipating over 11 million passenger trips on April 30, the day before the holiday, with an average daily ridership of approximately 9.1 million during the holiday.To ensure smooth travel for residents, Guangzhou Metro announced that on April 30 and May 1, the entire network will extend its service hours by one hour.
