2025 Population Survey May Involve THESE Expats

A letter issued by the bureau mentioned that there will be two rounds of in-person surveys conducted nationwide to gather data on population dynamics to help with informed policymaking. After the announcement, many expats have enquired whether it will include foreign residents, below is the explanation. The surveys are scheduled around two periods: from midnight of June 1 to 25th and the second will start on midnight of November 16 to December 5th. Enumerators will visit selected households to carry out the survey. Residents are kindly asked to cooperate by providing accurate and complete information, which will be kept strictly confidential in line with China’s Statistics Law.
