A postdoctoral position is currently available in the laboratory of Dr. Jiqiang (Lanny) Ling at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. This is to replace a current postdoctoral fellow who has successfully landed a professor position at a major research university. Dr. Ling obtained his B.S. degree from Fudan University, and his Ph.D. degree from The Ohio State University. Following his postdoctoral training at Yale University, he joined the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics (MMG) as a tenure-track assistant professor. His research interests are to combine state-of-the-art single-cell, microbiology, biochemical, genetic, genomic, and proteomic approaches to understand the mechanisms and disease connections of the protein synthesis machinery.
