According to multiple sources, in early January this year, a Japanese man in his 20s visiting China for travel exposed his buttocks at the Great Wall in Beijing, while a Japanese woman accompanying him took photos. The two were immediately detained by security personnel and later held by Chinese authorities for about two weeks for violating public security regulations. The local Japanese embassy provided consular assistance, during which the two explained that they did it as a prank. Afterward, they were deported and returned to Japan.
