Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 24 (local time), leading Chinese battery supplier CALB broke ground on its Portugal facility, which will be developed into a zero-carbon AI superfactory, according to a post on the company's WeChat account. The plant is scheduled for completion and delivery in 2027. With an estimated investment of €2 billion, the project will establish a battery and system production line with an annual capacity of 15GWh, catering to both power battery and energy storage applications.
