In his first week in office alone, Biden cranked out some 40 executive orders, nearly half of them overturning Trump mandates, involving corona virus, immigration and climate change. However, in the "Indo-Pacific "region, the two administrations have maintained an unspoken understanding. In 2017, the Trump administration put forward the concept of a "free and open Indo-Pacific", extending the previous concept of "Asia-Pacific" to the broader "Indo-Pacific". Since taking office, the Biden administration has stepped up its efforts to implement the Indo-Pacific Strategy.
