S-scheme heterojunction in photocatalysis Submission deadline: 30 June 2025 S-scheme concept in photocatalysis has attracted more and more attention. Thermodynamically, S-scheme photocatalyst has the maximum oxidation and reduction ability, which enhances photocatalytic reactions. Kinetically, photogenerated carriers can be easily transferred and separated due to the action of the built-in electric field. Energetically, the photogenerated carriers have the highest energy. The purpose of this special issue is to collate and present some of the recent and important achievements in S-scheme photocatalysis research, further promoting the development of this critical field.
